Terms of Use
Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using Scribble Studio (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who We Are
The Service is operated by Scribble (“we”, “us”). The Service helps teams turn rough ideas into structured tasks, diagrams, and issue-ready descriptions, and can integrate with third-party tools such as GitHub and Linear.
Eligibility and Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Do not share your credentials or bypass access controls.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (e.g., notes, prompts, audio, and files) (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service, including generating outputs you request (e.g., summaries, diagrams, and tasks).
- You have the rights needed to submit User Content and to authorize our processing.
- You will not submit content that violates laws or third-party rights.
- You will not submit malware, exploit attempts, or abusive automated traffic.
AI Features and Outputs
The Service may use AI systems to generate outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific needs. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, including before creating issues in GitHub/Linear or using any generated code or instructions.
Third-Party Services
The Service can connect to third-party services (e.g., GitHub, Linear, authentication providers, AI and transcription providers). Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Subscriptions, Billing, and Limits
- Some features require a paid subscription and may include usage limits.
- We may enforce limits (for example, token balances or daily feature caps) to keep the Service reliable.
- Taxes and payment processing are handled through our billing providers where applicable.
Acceptable Use
- Do not attempt to access data you do not have permission to access.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service’s operation.
- Do not use the Service for illegal activities or to generate harmful content.
- Do not circumvent rate limits or plan restrictions.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. Read it here: Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
We and our licensors own the Service, including its software, design, and branding, excluding User Content. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
Service Availability and Changes
The Service is provided “as is” and may change over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including to comply with law, improve safety, or maintain reliability.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, posed a security risk, or used the Service in a way that could harm others or the Service.
Disclaimers
The Service and AI outputs are provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scribble will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scribble from claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms, including your User Content and actions taken using AI outputs.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Scribble is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users (for example, through the app).
